General Information
OPSITE FLEXIFIX is a waterproof transparent(1,2) adhesive film that provides secure fixation of dressings or protects skin from friction.

• OPSITE FLEXIFIX is waterproof(1,2) so you can shower whilst wearing the transparent film.
• OPSITE FLEXIFIX is conformable(4).
• OPSITE FLEXIFIX is easy to apply(6) and remove(5,6) and is a low friction film(7).
• OPSITE FLEXIFIX has a bacterial barrier that aids in the prevention of external bacteria contaminating the wound(8).
Warnings
Do not use OPSITE Flexifix Gentle directly on open wounds
Directions
To retain a primary wound dressing:
Step 1: Wash hands before and after handling the dressing.
Step 2: Apply the primary wound dressing on the skin according to the instructions for use. Make sure the surrounding skin is clean and dry.
Step 3: Cut the OPSITE FLEXIFIX roll to the desired length.
Step 4: Stretch the OPSITE FLEXIFIX film away from the cut in the backing paper (printed 'Remove First 1') to make the backing paper easier to remove.
Step 5: Remove the smallest part of the backing paper printed 1. Folding the dressing lengthways can simplify this operation.
Step 6: Apply the exposed adhesive then remove the second part of the backing paper and smooth down the edges.
Step 7: Remove the green carrier grid marked '3' by lifting and pulling away using the pre-lifted edge along the centre of the green carrier. Repeat to remove the other side. Smooth down the edges of the film again.
Step 8: For larger wound dressings repeat the application until the whole dressing is secured.
As a skin protection dressing:
Step 1: Wash hands before and after handling the dressing.
Step 2: Cut the OPSITE FLEXIFIX film to the desired length.
Step 3: Stretch the OPSITE FLEXIFIX film away from the cut in the backing paper (printed 'Remove First 1') to make the backing paper easier to remove.
Step 4: Remove the smallest part of the backing paper printed 1. Folding the dressing lengthways can simplify this operation.
Step 5: Apply the exposed adhesive then remove the second part of the backing paper and smooth down the edges.
