Canesten 6 Day Cream contains a
soothing cream to effectively treat vaginal
thrush (vaginal candidiasis), a common
infection caused by a yeast-like fungi. It
contains a tube of cream and six applicators,
to insert the cream high into the vagina to
treat thrush. Symptoms may include itching,
burning, and a white odourless discharge.
This treatment may be suitable for women
who prefer to treat for longer, who
experience vaginal dryness or suffer from
repeat episodes of thrush.
The cream contains Clotrimazole 10 mg/g.

How to use Canesten 6 Day Thrush Treatment
Internal Soothing Cream?
Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using Canesten®
The cream should preferably be inserted in the evening, just before bed time, with the
use of the applicator. Using it before you go to sleep will have the best effect.
Use a new applicator for each nightly dose. Continue using the cream for 6
consecutive nights.
Preparing the applicator
Step 1: Pull out the plunger until it stops.
Step 2: Open the Canesten cream tube.
Attach the applicator to the tube and
hold it firmly pressed against the tube.
Step 3: Squeeze the cream tube until the
applicator is full, then remove the cream
tube.
Inserting the applicator
Step 4: Carefully insert the end of the
applicator containing the cream as gently
and deeply into the vagina as possible.
This is best achieved when lying on your
back with your knees bent.
Step 5: Hold the applicator in position
and slowly push the plunger with the
forefinger until it stops. This places the
cream in the vagina.
Step 6: Remove the applicator from the
vagina and dispose of the applicator.
