General Information

Solgar® L-Arginine 500 mg contains Arginine, a non-essential amino acid supporting various pathways throughout the body. Amino acids are found in protein and support several functions within the body. They are classified as “essential” or “non-essential”. Essential amino acids cannot be made within the body and must be supplied by the diet and non- essential amino acids can be made within the body.

Amino acids support normal production and function of hormones, enzymes, neurotransmitters, antibodies, and nutrient carriers. A suboptimal intake of the essential amino acids increases the body’s need for the non-essential amino acids. Foods that increase amino acid intake are protein foods like meat, beans, cheese, and eggs.

Arginine is a non-essential amino acid, and although it can be created within the body, supplementation can assist dietary intake. Arginine supports muscle and tissue function and because of this, it is often popular with athletes.

Directions

Adults: Take 1 vege capsule daily, in between meals or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
