General Information
CICA-CARE is a soft, self-adhesive silicone gel sheet for the treatment
and prevention of scarring 1-3. CICA-CARE is effective in the treatment of
scars up to 30 years old.2-6
The CICA-CARE adhesive gel sheet is simple to apply and can be cut to
size to fit most scars. The silicone membrane and gel combination make
CICA-CARE more durable. It is washable and reusable, each piece can last
up to 28 days.7,8

Warnings
Do not use on open wounds or infected wounds. Do not use on acne affected skin. Do not use with ointments or creams under the gel sheet.
Common Uses
In the management of both existing and new hypertrophic scars and keloids and as a prophylactic therapy on healed wounds to help to prevent hypertrophic scarring and keloids.
Directions
The gel sheet is easy to cut to size8. Each piece is reusable. It can be washed and re-used3,4. When Cica-Care begins to deteriorate or cleaning becomes difficult, it should be replaced3,8. If needed a light tape such as Primafix Plus or Opsite Flexifix can be used to secure the gel sheet1. Fading and softening of scars can be seen after 2 months of treatment. Best results demonstrated after 6 months of treatment. 100% of scars showed blanching and softening after 6 months of treatment6.
