Common Uses

Hawthorn has been used to support heart and cardiovascular function as far back as the 1st century. The therapeutic action of Caruso’s Hawthorn involves the antioxidant actions of the standardised flavonoid Vitexin-2-Rhamnoside which specifically helps support the heart muscles. Hawthorn also assists with oxygen flow and utilisation to the heart and has cardiovascular supportive effects and vasodilation effects on the circulatory system. The flavonoids also effect the collagen structures within the blood vessels and help support collagen fibres.
